Recently a kid in US got arrested when he had taken to show his teacher a clock that he had built. Apparently the Teacher thought it was a bomb and called in the Police who had him arrested :(

Bear market gets Dragon power !!!

Well from past few days the stock market over the globe has plunged due to crash in Chinese Stock Market. Here is my take on recent 1500 points down on our Bombay Stock Exchange. Also for some folks who want to know what's with BULL and BEAR - a BULL symbolises progressive market and a BEAR symbolises regressive market

What happens to my paper toons ?

Well I have a four year old kid and he hijacks all my paper drawing to ink them in his own ways. Here is one example of it :)

Teacher's Day Special

I am big Calvin and Hobbes fan, most of my sarcasm ability comes from these toons. Needless to say Bill Watterson is my Guru (source of inspiration to take up cartooning). So this is dedicated to him.

Do I draw these toons ?

While most of work was enclosed - never really published it much and some were of course surprised that I did tooning and they never had wind of it. So, there were questions if I drew them or there was some tool I used for producing them. Had to explain them indeed I did draw them but they were digitized later giving them colour and form.

Most of my toons were on paper - never really got to see the world. Until I stumbled upon the tool InkScape, played around with this tool and it just worked wonders with my toons in digitizing it. Below is a collage of my toons before they were inked.

You can't take away cricket from N Srinivasan

Must say this one of my fav :) probably because it is related to cricket the game I love, eat and sleep, There was a news article which said a BCCI meeting was adjourned due to Mr. N Srinivasan presence and this made me to give a funny touch to it

Life as it is :)

Back here in India - every other India parent in 90's wanted their kids to take up engineering and go into the software industry which offered a descent enough salary which many says catapulted many families from lower middle class to upper middle class.

While yes the software jobs were happening - slowly into the job many people would develop other interests which were probably long lost (in my case cartooning) or a new found interest. But, then there is catch ! well the cartoon explains it :)

Onion price on the rise

India was bogged down with sudden spike in onions prices and hence did this toon as my funny take on this scenario :)

PS: The man address the lady as "Ammavare" - which means Madam in Kannada language (my mother tongue)
